A charity event being organised by the Sprake family in recognition of the help given to a family member following a serious accident by charities such as The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Portland Brain Injury Unit and Headway.

10.20 a.m. Wednesday 27th July 2022Just Strollin’ Holton and Maperton (PLEASE NOTE – this is not the third Wednesday of the month as usual!)
Stephen and Joyce have kindly offered to lead this walk..
We will meet at The Old Inn, Holton, to order lunch and then start the walk at 10.30 a.m. It will be a zig-zag walk through the countryside to Maperton of about four miles and then back to the pub for lunch at 1.00 p.m.
Please look out for my email nearer the time.
There’s no magazine in August, so please also keep an eye out for my email with details of that walk – it will happen on the usual third Wednesday of the month.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

2.30 p.m. Saturday 27th August 2022 Charlton Horethorne Summer Show 2022
Charlton Horethorne Village Hall
The usual entries of flowers, fruit, vegetables, cakes, jams, handiworks, hobbies and artwork are welcome from everyone in Charlton Horethorne and the surrounding area. This year we have a new Clairvaux Cup which will be awarded to someone who has never previously won.
We especially welcome entries from younger people!
Everything you need to know is in the Show Schedule – available in July from Charlton Horethorne Village shop, priced at £1 and containing an entry form. £1 for adults to enter as many classes as they want – and under 18’s are free!
Entry forms must be returned to Jane Watkins no later than 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday 24th August.
Visitors are very welcome to come along and enjoy the Show – entrance is free and cream teas will be available.
Prize giving is at 4.00 p.m. and the Show will close at 4.30 p.m.
